The Role
Build, test, and maintain vehicles and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setups with high-performance compute and sensor systems.
- Diagnose, repair, and rework hardware system failures on:
- Compute systems
- Embedded modules
- Wiring harnesses
- Sensors
- Other hardware components
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to execute one-off tests of hardware configurations, assisting in troubleshooting issues.
- Maintain and manage workshop equipment, tools, and inventory, ensuring an organized, efficient workspace.
- Support prototype assembly and modifications, contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering designs.
- Document workshop procedures, test results, and system configurations to ensure reproducibility.
- Support initial bring-up and commissioning of vehicles and improve overall system integration.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in hardware systems and introduce innovative solutions (e.g., 3D printing, Jira, AI tools).

About You
Essential Skills & Experience
- Tenacity and drive to resolve complex problems until completion.
- Ability to understand second and third-order effects of decisions.
- Hands-on experience building wiring harnesses, including ability to read wiring diagrams.
- Experience building and maintaining complex systems in high-paced environments.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to collaborate with engineering teams while providing technical support.
- Passion for learning, growing, and advancing technical expertise in autonomy.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with autonomous vehicle hardware systems, including:
- Vehicles
- Compute platforms
- Sensors (LiDAR, radar, cameras)
- Wiring harnesses
- Experience flashing and commissioning systems.
- Knowledge of change management and version control systems.
