About Oxford Royale
Oxford Royale is a leading global provider of elite summer schools. Driven by a firm belief that education is about much more than a formal classroom, we offer young people unparalleled cultural and learning experiences, giving them a window to a world of opportunity.
Teaching is a central part of the Engineering Summer School programme at Oxford Royale. We are seeking a teacher who is passionate about introducing students to the fundamentals of engineering, including mechanical, civil, and electrical engineering concepts. The ideal teacher will use real-world examples and challenges to inspire students to explore the practical applications of engineering and develop problem-solving skills. Lessons should engage students in critical thinking, collaboration, and applying theory to practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and adapt lessons using the Teacher’s Guide, ensuring content meets the interests and academic levels of students.
- Deliver inspiring lessons that introduce key engineering principles, including design, construction, and innovation.
- Use subject expertise to ensure student progress, offering personalised feedback and adapting tasks to meet individual learning needs.
- Lead practical workshops, simulations, and projects that apply engineering theory to real-world scenarios.
- Mark assignments, provide detailed feedback, and complete student reports reflecting individual progress.
- Manage administrative tasks, including maintaining registers and attending staff meetings.
- Work with fellow teaching staff to foster a collaborative and stimulating learning environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
