English Lecturer

English Lecturer – Capital City College Group

Capital City College is seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and engaging English Lecturer to join our dynamic team on an hourly-paid basis.


About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with expertise in teaching English—whether you are an experienced educator, a working professional seeking a career change, or someone with specialist industry knowledge, there is a place for you at CCC.

As an Hourly Paided English Lecturer, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging, inclusive, and learner-centred teaching sessions
  • Sharing real-world insights to help learners develop both practical skills and confidence
  • Adapting your approach to meet the diverse needs of your students

About You (Requirements & Skills)

We’re looking for an individual who embodies these strengths:

  • Proven experience in teaching English (at any level—further education, vocational, GCSE, or A-Level preferred but not essential)
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant course syllabuses, specifications, and quality assurance processes
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills to maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Commitment to learner-focused, employability-driven instruction
  • A recognised teaching qualification (a willingness to achieve this before starting is welcome)
  • Experience working with diverse learners, including those with disabilities or barriers to education
  • The ability to inspire, motivate, and enjoy working with young adults aiming to progress in their careers
