English Lecturer

English Teaching Opportunity (FT & 0.8 FTE) – Doncaster College

About the College Come and work for a team that’s going places! At Doncaster College, we invest in passionate educators who share a love for teaching English GCSE and Functional Skills, helping learners achieve their goals. Now we have 2 roles available—one Full-Time (FT) and one 0.8 FTE—on our Doncaster campus, where you’ll support a diverse range of students.


About the Role:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons to students at both GCSE and Functional Skills levels.
  • Prepare students for exams, including re-sit endeavours, ensuring they achieve their best possible outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of our English curriculum, helping shape future programmes.
  • Lead masterclasses and coordinate support for course teams.
  • Use varied assessment methods to track student progress and align it with learning goals.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment, fostering belonging and motivation.
