English Literature Lecturer – Part-Time (0.8 FTE), Permanent
Are you ready to play a vital role in shaping the future of education in Angel, London? Capital City College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled English Literature Lecturer to join our dynamic London-based team.
About the Role
Lecturer in English Literature
As an English Literature Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching, support learners in achieving their goals, contribute to curriculum development, and guide students both academically and pastorally.
This position is available on a part-time (0.8 FTE), permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver A-Level English Literature teaching in line with OCR requirements
- Provide high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment
- Inspire and support students to achieve their potential and progress
- Develop and review curricula to ensure alignment with education standards
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and innovative approaches
- Maintain rigorous academic standards while prioritising an inclusive, learner-focused approach

About You
We are looking for a passionate and experienced English Literature educator with:
- Proven expertise in A-Level English Literature
- Deep knowledge of the OCR English Literature syllabus
- Outstanding communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
- A commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching
- A recognised teaching qualification (or the willingness to obtain one)
- Experience motivating a diverse range of learners to reach their potential
