English Literature Lecturer – Part-Time (0.8 FTE), Permanent

About the Role: English Literature Lecturer

As an English Literature Lecturer, you’ll proudly contribute to a dynamic team where your expertise inspires students to achieve their goals. In this part-time (0.8 FTE), permanent role, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in A Level English Literature, adhering to OCR curriculum requirements
  • Develop and enliven the curriculum with innovative, student-focused approaches
  • Provide academic and pastoral support, fostering an inclusive learning environment that empowers learners to excel
  • Join a collaborative team of four, sharing best practices and mentoring peers to drive excellence

Key Responsibilities

About You: The Ideal Candidate

We’re seeking a passionate and qualified education professional who:

  • Has proven experience teaching English Literature, with expertise in A Level curriculum delivery
  • Possesses a strong subject knowledge in A Level English Literature (OCR)
  • Demonstrates exemplary communication, organisational, and classroom leadership skills
  • Commits to inclusive, student-centred teaching, ensuring accessibility for a diverse range of learners
  • Holds or is pursuing a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., Postgraduate Certificate in Education or equivalent)
  • Is confident, enthusiastic, and energetic, able to inspire students to achieve beyond expectations
