A specialist SEN school in Walton-on-Thames is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate English Teacher to join its dedicated team from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with additional needs. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and accessible English lessons while supporting students to develop confidence, communication, and independence.
For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity to take on the role of English Lead alongside the role as English Teacher, helping to shape and develop the English curriculum across the school.

The successful candidate will:
- Deliver creative and differentiated English lessons across Key Stages 3-5 as an English Teacher
- Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment
- Support students with literacy, communication, and emotional development
- Work closely with support staff, therapists, and pastoral teams
- Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school improvement
- Potentially lead the English department for the right candidate
- Be able to commute to Walton-on-Thames

The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
- Experience as an English Teacher
- A passion for SEN and inclusive education
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Leadership potential and a collaborative approach
