English Teacher – Inner London (Wandsworth)

About the Role A high-performing, Outstanding (Ofsted-rated) secondary school in Wandsworth is seeking a passionate and dynamic English Teacher to join their team in September 2026 for a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching English across Keys Stages 3–5 (KS3–KS5)
  • Opportunities for TLR-based leadership (e.g., 2iC or KS3 Coordinator)
  • Contributing to a modern, well-resourced English department (including recent refurbishments)

Requirements

Essential

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or possessing QTS through completion
  • Strong academic record (degree, A-Levels, and GCSE passes at a competitive grade level)
  • Previous teaching experience (or relevant trainee observations)
  • Demonstrated excellence in lesson observations/placements ('Good' or 'Outstanding' ratings**)
  • A growth mindset aligned with continuous professional development
