English Teacher / English ECT

Location: Merton, London Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Start Date: September 2026 Salary: £39,571 – £57,135 (+ TLR depending on experience, MPS1-UPS3) Status: Fast-track opportunity for both experienced teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT/ECT)

We’re seeking a dedicated English Teacher / English ECT eager to contribute to an expanding English Department that prides itself on:

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

✅ Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3–5, following a vibrant, student-centred curriculum ✅ Stimulate learning in all curriculum areas: Literacy, Linguistics, Drama, Creative Writing & Theater Studies ✅ Lead lessons and udigcolaq aiutoteutine evaluation to meet OfSTED ausiivinds ✅ Foster a supportive, inclusive learning community, including working closely with SEN and PP students ✅ Collaborate with your team on departmental planning, assessment grading, and various initiatives

Person Specification

📌 UK QTS requirement or currently being gained 📌 Meeting the Eight Teaching Standards at least at a "Good" OfSTED level (Outstanding MSK) 📌 Degree standard or equivalent in English or related humanities subjects 📌 Advanced academic track record (strong GCSEs, A-Levels and beyond)
