Long Term Teachers is on the hunt for an English Teacher to join our team and teach in a Secondary School in Bath. Whether you are an ECT looking to gain valuable classroom experience or a seasoned English teacher I would love to speak with you about your experience.

A rural school in South Bath is looking for an experienced teacher to take on a full time English teacher role, however, for the right candidate the school is able to accommodate for a part time role. Welcoming enthusiastic and passionate ECTs and seasoned teachers who have an extensive knowledge of the English curriculum and exam specifications. 

This is a high performing school, with examination outcomes consistently placing them amongst the best schools in the region. The pupils are achieving outstanding GCSE and A level results, having high aspirations and many go onto higher education all across the country.

We need a confident, reliable educator to step in and teach English lessons and help the pupils stay on track with their learning. In this role you will be guiding KS3 and KS4 pupils through their English lessons and preparing them for their GCSE exams. Planning and Marking will be a part of this role therefore expert knowledge of the UK curriculums and specifications is essential. 

Guiding students through the English language and literature curriculum will be your main priority in this role. You will be delving into the fundamentals of the English curriculum from teaching grammar to analysing and annotating literature classics and a range of poetry. Through teaching English you have the opportunity and privilege to show young people the beauty of the language and open their minds to creativity which they can carry with them beyond the school years. If you are passionate about your subject and enthusiastic about sharing your knowledge to show pupils the art of English please do reach out.
