# English Teacher – Sky Vale School, Redhill, Bristol

We’re recruiting an English Teacher for our brand new school, Sky Vale, nestled in Redhill, Bristol. This is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver high-quality, therapeutic education in a nurturing, inspiring environment—where literacy comes to life through creative, flexible, and personalised learning.


### About the Role

As our English Teacher, you’ll:

  • Bring literacy to life for students aged 6–18, designing and delivering bespoke English curricula tailored to each learner’s abilities, interests, and aspirations.
  • Fostering confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.
  • Apply a Trauma-Informed Practice model, ensuring every lesson and interaction contributes to a safe, supportive, and emotionally secure environment.
  • Work within an institution that is proudly recognised with the Attachment and Trauma Sensitive School Award, reflecting our holistic, child-centred approach.

### What We’re Looking For

  • Strong written communication and competent IT skills
  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and external partners
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or NQT (a specialism or experience in teaching Maths is a real advantage)
  • Valid UK driving licence (essential for school operations)
  • Right to Work in the UK

Requirements: Selected candidates will undergo child protection checks, including employment references and an Enhanced DBS.
