Secondary English Teacher (Supply and General Cover): Plymouth
Are you a dedicated and qualified educator seeking a balanced approach to your teaching career? We are currently seeking a professional Secondary English Teacher to provide high-quality supply and general cover services across schools in Plymouth. This role is ideal for those who value flexibility while maintaining a commitment to educational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, pre-planned English Language and Literature lessons for Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students.
- Provide versatile general cover for various subjects, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining high standards of classroom management.
- Cultivate a safe, supportive, and productive learning environment that adheres to individual school behavioural expectations.
- Provide detailed and constructive feedback to facilitate a seamless transition for the returning class teacher.

Qualifications
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
- Demonstrate a robust understanding of the UK National Curriculum for secondary English.
- Exhibit exceptional adaptability and professional communication skills.
- The ability to reliably commute around Plymouth.
- Possess a valid Enhanced DBS clearance on the Update Service, or a willingness to undergo the vetting process.
