- Location: Remote, UK (please note, while this is a fully remote position, candidates must be willing to work from the UK in order to be considered)

We are looking for an English Teacher to join the team at King's InterHigh. You will be contracted to work 42 weeks of the year, 35 weeks of which being our contact time and a further 4 weeks will be directed during half terms to complete other activities such as course writing, marking, revision sessions etc. The timing of directed weeks/hours will be confirmed, and staff will be off for the remainder of the half terms. It is expected that staff will work the necessary hours to fulfil their duties and responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching & Learning:
- Teach English Language and/or English Literature across iGCSE, International A Level and IB programmes.
- Deliver engaging, high-quality online lessons that develop students' literacy, analytical and communication skills.
- Use assessment data to monitor progress, adapt teaching and support student achievement.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment with high expectations for all learners.
Assessment & Reporting:
- Assess and provide timely, constructive feedback in line with awarding body requirements.
- Contribute to internal assessments, mock examinations and revision programmes.
- Complete reports and student documentation accurately and on time.
Curriculum & Professional Practice:
- Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and schemes of work.
- Engage in CPD, departmental collaboration and whole-school initiatives.
- Share best practice and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.

Pastoral & Professional Responsibilities:
- Promote student wellbeing, safeguarding and academic progress.
- Provide academic guidance and uphold the professional standards and values of King's InterHigh and Inspired Education.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Line Manager.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A strong academic background in English and a recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching iGCSE and/or International A Level English, with IB English experience desirable.
- A secure understanding of international English curricula and assessment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence using online teaching platforms and digital learning tools.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing and inclusive teaching.
- The ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive professional culture.
- Experience developing online learning resources and teaching students from diverse international backgrounds would be advantageous.
