Senior Clinical Fellow in Rhinology

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint a Senior Clinical Fellow in Rhinology to the Directorate of ENT. The post is available from August 2027 for 12 months, full-time, fixed-term. Aintree University Hospital is the main tertiary referral Hospital for Liverpool, Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales.

On Call Commitments

  • 1:9 prospective night and day time cover

Requirements

  • Fully registered with the General Medical Council
  • At least six years’ experience as a Specialist Registrar (SpR)/ Speciality Trainee (StR) or equivalent
  • Hold both the MRCS (or equivalent) and an ENT exit examination (FRCS or national equivalent)
  • Available to candidates who hold a U.K. Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or national equivalent

Role Overview

This is a busy clinical fellowship aimed at senior trainees. The successful candidate will become trained in all aspects of rhinology, advanced endoscopic sinus surgery, and rhinoplasty. The candidate will gain exposure to:

  • Anterior skull base
  • Sinonasal malignancy
  • Extended endoscopic anterior skull base surgery
  • Significant exposure to external septorhinoplasty

The successful candidate will have a central role in the preparation and presentation of patients in the Head and Neck Oncology and Skull Base MDT meetings.
