Enterprise Account Executive – NHS Sales Growth
About the Role
This is a senior commercial role at the heart of Lyrebird’s UK growth. As an Enterprise Account Executive, you’ll:
- Own the full sales cycle for strategic NHS Trusts, ICBs, and large hospital groups.
- Progress deals from first conversation to multi-year SaaS contract signed.
- Build and manage a high-value pipeline in complex NHS procurement environments.
- Work closely with clinical, digital, and finance stakeholders to design impactful deals.
- Expand existing accounts and provide real market insights for product and go-to-market teams.
This opportunity suits someone who thrives on complex, high-stakes deals and exhibits curiosity toward clinical workflow challenges. You’ll need to:
- Lead strategic conversations with C-suite executives one moment, then engage with clinical informaticians the next.
- Build long-term relationships while maintaining strict pipeline rigor.
- Sell a product that delivers real impact.
We’re recruiting 2x Account Executives to grow Lyrebird’s footprint in the UK Midlands and North. The role is remote with generous travel support.

Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Account Ownership
- Handle the entire deal cycle from initial outreach to contract signing with NHS Trusts, ICSs, and global healthcare groups.
- Cultivate pipelines via outbound campaigns, inbound leads, partnerships, and marketing.
- Lead multi-stakeholder discussions across clinicians, operations, digital teams, and finance.
Solution & Deal Development
- Identify key pain points and aligned KPIs through structured discovery processes.
- Craft business cases demonstrating efficiency gains, cost savings and workforce transformation.
- Navigate Scottish Public Sector standards, RFPs, procurement challenges, information governance compliance, and cybersecurity risks.
Relationship Management
- Cultivate executive relationships with CIOs, CCIOs, CNIOs, CMOs, COOs, and champion clinicians.
- Serve as a thought leader at client events, demos, and influential briefings.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting, opportunity staging, and risk tracking in CRM.
- Collaborate with Customer Success to enable seamless handoffs and identify expansion opportunities.
Competencies & Experience
Essential
- Enterprise SaaS Sales Track Record: Consistent quota attainment and secured multi-year contracts.
- Healthcare Domain Expertise: Prior experience selling to NHS providers (Trusts/ICBs), international hospitals, and physicians—with insights into decision-making across clinical, digital, and finance teams.
- Complex Deal Mastery: Comfort navigating multi-stakeholder sale cycles, building strategic business cases with clear ROI.
- Structured Sale Methodology: Alignment with MEDDIC principles or similar frameworks.
- Communication & Adaptation: Equal fluency in C-suite boardroom language and clinical or technical jargon.

Preferable
- NHS Procurement Insight: Familiarity with NHS frameworks, supplier clearance, and standards.
- Health Tech Experience: Background in clinical documentation, speech recognition, EPRs/IO, or PAS systems.
- Strategic Networks: Existing connections with NHS digital leaders, clinical informatics teams, or transformation focused clinicians.
- Fast-Growth Environment: Background in a high-scale SaaS company or healthtech startup.
