MacGregor Black is partnering with a FMCG manufacturing business on the search for an Enterprise Architect. This role is based in Scotland.
Our client is embarking on a significant enterprise-wide technology transformation programme and is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to define and lead the future enterprise architecture strategy.
This is a highly strategic appointment that will shape the organisation's long-term technology roadmap. The successful individual will provide architectural leadership across enterprise applications, cloud platforms, data architecture and system integration, ensuring technology investments support both current transformation initiatives and future business growth.
Working closely with senior technology leaders and business stakeholders, this role will establish enterprise architecture principles, governance and standards that underpin a major multi-year ERP modernisation programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the organisation's Enterprise Architecture strategy, roadmap and target operating model.
- Provide architectural leadership across major transformation programmes spanning HR, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain and Corporate Systems.
- Establish enterprise architecture standards, governance frameworks and technology design principles.
- Design scalable enterprise application architectures that support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Define cloud architecture principles and ensure solutions align with modern cloud best practices.
- Lead enterprise integration strategy across ERP and wider business applications.
- Develop data architecture principles to support data governance, integration and reporting capabilities.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into enterprise technology roadmaps.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Programme Managers, Technology teams and external implementation partners to ensure architectural consistency across all initiatives.
- Assess emerging technologies and recommend future architecture direction to support innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all technology decisions align with long-term business strategy, security, scalability and operational resilience.

What We're Looking For:
- Significant experience operating within Enterprise Architecture roles across complex organisations.
- Deep understanding of ERP (e.g. Oracle/SAP) ecosystem and enterprise application landscapes.
- Strong knowledge of Cloud Architecture (Cloud Infrastructure, Azure and/or AWS).
- Experience developing enterprise integration strategies, APIs and modern integration platforms.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, data governance and information management.
- Experience defining enterprise technology roadmaps and long-term architecture strategy.
- Knowledge of architecture governance frameworks, standards and best practice methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
- Experience working within large-scale ERP, digital or enterprise transformation programmes.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Manufacturing, FMCG or consumer goods experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

£75,000 - £85,000 per annum
