Your Opportunity
As a Defence & Security Enterprise Architect, your role will vary depending on the client’s engagement and your expertise, but key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining the enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technology solutions.
- Assessing the current technology landscape, identifying gaps, and proposing architectural improvements.
- Defining and documenting enterprise architecture standards, principles, and guidelines to ensure consistency and interoperability.
- Leading the evaluation and selection of technology platforms, frameworks, and tools aligned with the strategic roadmap.
- Advising project teams on compliance with architectural standards and best practices.
- Conducting architectural reviews to ensure alignment with business outcomes.
- Partnering with IT leaders to develop technology roadmaps and invest in line with strategic business priorities.
- Staying abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Collaborating with vendors and external partners to assess and recommend integration solutions.
- Driving innovation through proof-of-concept exploration and introducing novel ideas.

What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements
- UK security clearance to Developed Vetting (DV) level (essential).
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect with a track record of strategic implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as:
- TOGAF, MODAF, DODAF
- Notations: BPMN, Business Capability Modelling, ArchiMate
- Hands-on experience with enterprise architecture tools (e.g., Sparx, Bizdesign) using viewpoints and traceability.
- Strong understanding of modern technology trends, business processes, and IT systems.
- Proven ability to define and execute enterprise-wide technology strategies aligned with business goals.
- Proficient assessment and selection of technological solutions.
- Deep knowledge of Defence architecture, security, and data policies.
