Enterprise Architect, Financial Service Experience Required, AI Experience Required

Home Based. £100,000 - 115,000 + bonus + benefits

Financial Service client is looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect with knowledge of modern engineering practices to help shape the direction of their technology.

In this hands-on and strategic role you will be responsible for defining the technology roadmap, architecture standards and approach to emerging technologies, including AI.

Working across the business (but with no direct reports) you will ensure technology investments support business goals, regulatory requirements and are aligned to long term strategy. You will be an enabler who will bring measureable outcomes and business impact.

Key responsibilities include -

  • Define and evolve the enterprise architecture and technology roadmap.
  • Define the enterprise AI strategy, principles and architecture.
  • Ensure AI adoption aligns with internal policies, security and risk appetite.
  • Provide architecture leadership across the company.
  • Act as an enabler - unblocking teams and producing measureable outcomes.
  • Own and maintain effective architecture governance.
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies.

Skills and experience required -

  • Strong experience as a hands-on technology leader/ sole Enterprise Architect gained in a regulated environment (Financial Services or Insurance)
  • Good AI strategy and governance experience.
  • Good data/ AI leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of modern engineering practices (platform-first, DevOps, IaC, CI/ CD etc).
  • Stakeholder management
  • Strong knowledge of governance, risk management, security, resilience and regulatory requirements.

This is a fantastic and key role within an established financial service company. As a hands-on leader you will bring your Enterprise Architecture / Technology Strategy and shape the roadmap, architecture standards and approach to emerging technologies. A technologist at heart, you will also have the ability to work across the business with stakeholders at all levels.

To be considered you must have worked in a financial service or insurance regulated environment with strong AI experience and played a key role designing and delivering enterprise architecture and technology strategy.
