Junior Enterprise Architect – (UK Government Transformation) - CONTRACT

Blue Astral Consulting | London, United Kingdom (On-site, frequent attendance)

Please let us know your availability. This is a full-time role, expected to run from early August to early December, with likely start dates around 2nd or 10th August.

Our client needs a junior colleague with Enterprise Architecture experience to support a transformation programme in the UK Government landscape. TOGAF qualification is ideal. This suits someone early in their architecture career who has already worked on complex change and wants to build their craft at real scale.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the development of 'As-Is', 'To-Be' and transitional roadmaps across large, multi-organisation enterprises
  • Contribute to Business Capability Modelling (BCM) and help demonstrate the business value of Enterprise Architecture
  • Assist with the modernisation and migration of complex legacy workloads in line with Cloud First policy
  • Help shape solutions that use managed services, containerisation and serverless architectures to improve resilience, cost and agility
  • Work with government PaaS and IaaS platforms alongside common SaaS offerings in the market
  • Apply architectural standards and policies consistently, and help maintain them across the enterprise
  • Participate in agile governance frameworks (e.g. ADRs, TDA participation) that enable pace without losing control
  • Take part in the architecture community and actively build your own skills and knowledge
  • Support stakeholder engagement, learning to build trust and alignment around strategic decisions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
