Siemens Digital Industries Software
Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
Position Overview
As an Enterprise Architect supporting the Marine Design solutions portfolio, you will provide senior architectural leadership across major customer programmes. You will own the end-to-end architecture, ensuring customer strategy, digital transformation goals and Siemens solutions remain aligned.
A key part of the role is to de-risk the solution by focusing on customer value, technical fit, programme dependencies and future product alignment. Working with customer stakeholders, Business Development, Solution Architects, PMO and delivery teams, you will define the architectural vision, shape long-term roadmaps and ensure delivery stays aligned to strategic outcomes.
You will act as a trusted advisor, helping customers maximise value while driving consistent, scalable solution adoption across the maritime domain.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture & Strategy
- Own the enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap for maritime customers, balancing current delivery needs with long-term customer goals
- Translate business strategy into clear architecture direction, solution blueprints and high-level roadmaps
- Drive architectural consistency across programmes, with a maritime-wide view rather than isolated point solutions
- Assess alignment with Siemens product direction, industry trends and customer outcomes
Solution De-risking & Value Assurance
- Identify and manage key solution risks, including business value, technical fit, configuration, integrations, dependencies and future scalability
- Help teams understand trade-offs and avoid decisions that create downstream delivery or product-alignment risk
- Challenge whether the programme is delivering maximum customer value and identify opportunities for increased adoption and growth
- Work with Product Development to shape solutions around customer needs and future Siemens capability

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
