If you’re a strategic technology leader with a consultancy mindset, strong stakeholder management skills, and a passion for driving innovation across enterprise MarTech landscapes, we’re looking for an Enterprise Architect to join our team.


What Will You Do?

As Enterprise Architect, you’ll be the strategic technical leader responsible for defining, evolving, and governing enterprise-wide MarTech architecture for our clients. You’ll bridge the gap between business, technology, data, and innovation, transforming strategic vision into actionable, scalable architectural roadmaps that drive measurable business outcomes.

Your role includes:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring enterprise marketing ecosystems align with long-term business goals while fostering innovation, scalability, and profitability.
  • Being an ambassador for VML MAP’s values, principles, and ways of working, contributing to the growth of the Tech & Data practice.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Vision & Enterprise Roadmaps

  • Define and maintain enterprise MarTech architectural roadmaps aligned with short- and long-term business goals.
  • Translate complex business strategies into scalable technical visions and actionable transformation plans.
  • Align enterprise architecture with marketing and business objectives to support growth and customer-centricity.
  • Assist clients in defining future-state architecture and transformation strategies.

Enterprise Architecture & MarTech Orchestration

  • Design and orchestrate complex MarTech ecosystems involving multiple platforms, marketing clouds, vendors, integrations, and data sources.
  • Develop scalable architectural blueprints and integration patterns across disparate systems and cloud environments.
  • Ensure interoperability, scalability, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency across the technology landscape.
  • Simplify and optimise enterprise ecosystems while maintaining strategic alignment.

Data, Governance, Privacy & Security

  • Define enterprise-wide data architecture strategies, governance principles, and integration standards.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) through Privacy by Design.
  • Establish architectural governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain strong security, scalability, and data quality standards.

Innovation & Emerging Technologies

  • Drive innovation initiatives and continuously evaluate emerging MarTech, AI, and cloud technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client ecosystems, operational maturity, and customer experiences through modern technology adoption.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, architecture patterns, and best practices.
  • Champion AI-driven innovation where relevant.

Consultancy, Client Leadership & Business Growth

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders (e.g., CMOs, enterprise architects, business leadership).
  • Influence strategic decision-making by connecting business needs with enterprise technology.
  • Support pre-sales, strategic consulting, innovation, and transformation programs.
  • Collaborate with Account, Strategy, and Solution Consulting teams to identify growth opportunities and shape enterprise solution approaches.
  • Balance technical excellence with commercial pragmatism to drive client value and sustainable delivery.

Cross-Capability Collaboration & Technical Leadership

  • Operate across cross-functional teams, including Tech & Data, Experience, Strategy, Paid Media, Marketing Operations, and Solution Consulting.
  • Provide technical leadership in large-scale, complex client engagements.
  • Mentor Solutions Architects, Technical Architects, Developers, and specialists.
  • Drive global alignment and promote reusable enterprise patterns.
  • Contribute to communities, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and capability growth.

Operationalisation & Continuous Improvement

  • Support stabilisation, optimisation, and operationalisation of enterprise MarTech ecosystems.
  • Ensure measurable business outcomes and long-term operational success.
  • Oversee KPIs, performance metrics, and ROI across enterprise platforms.
  • Resolve complex technical and operational challenges in client ecosystems.

Essential Experience & Expertise

  • 10+ years in technical architecture, with Enterprise Architect experience in MarTech ecosystems.
  • Deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and broader platforms (Data Cloud, CDPs, CRM, Analytics, CMS, AdTech, cloud ecosystems).
  • Proven experience in designing and governing enterprise-wide marketing technology landscapes.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Enterprise architecture principles (e.g., TOGAF)
    • Integration patterns, API strategies, cloud solutions, scalability, reliability, performance optimization
    • Data architecture, governance, privacy-by-design frameworks
  • Business outcomes-driven via enterprise technology strategy and consultancy.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, executive engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience in pre-sales, innovation, strategic consulting, and business development.
  • Passion for mentorship, knowledge-sharing, and technical community growth.
  • Familiarity with digital agency landscapes and consultancy-driven delivery models.
  • Experience working across global teams and cross-functional organizations.
