Enterprise Architect Manager – Defence & National Security Level: Manager Location: South-West England (Hybrid) Salary: Up to £80,000 Base + Benefits Clearance: Eligible for DV Clearance
About the Role Our client is one of the world's leading technology and consulting organisations, delivering some of the UK's most significant digital transformation programmes across Defence, National Security and Government. With a global workforce of hundreds of thousands and deep expertise spanning cloud, AI, data, cybersecurity and enterprise transformation, they are trusted by governments and critical organisations to solve complex challenges at scale. As part of continued growth within their Technology Strategy & Advisory practice, they are looking for an Enterprise Architect Manager to help shape large-scale transformation programmes that directly impact national security outcomes. This is an opportunity to work at the highest levels of strategy and technology, influencing major investment decisions, defining future-state architectures and helping government organisations modernise complex technology estates.
What You'll Be Doing Translating business and mission objectives into enterprise architecture strategies and transformation roadmaps Defining future-state enterprise architectures across business, application, data and technology domains Leading architecture workstreams across complex digital transformation programmes Assessing the impact of strategic change across enterprise-wide technology landscapes Producing architecture blueprints covering systems, integrations, data flows and operating models Advising senior stakeholders on technology strategy, investment decisions and transformation priorities Driving architecture governance and ensuring alignment across programmes and initiatives Supporting enterprise data platform design, integration and automation capabilities Conducting technology, platform and vendor assessments Identifying opportunities to leverage cloud, AI, automation and emerging technologies

Ideal Background Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture or Technology Strategy experience Experience working within Defence, National Security, Government or other highly regulated environments Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies Experience delivering large-scale transformation, modernisation or digital reinvention programmes Ability to engage and influence senior business and technical stakeholders Exposure to enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday or major cloud providers Understanding of cloud, data, AI and modern enterprise technology ecosystems Experience working across multidisciplinary delivery teams

Desirable experience includes: Consulting experience TOGAF or similar architecture certifications Enterprise architecture tooling such as LeanIX, Bizzdesign, Orbus or Avolution Knowledge of UK Government technology standards and frameworks Experience with business capability modelling, architecture governance and operating model design
