Enterprise Data Architect

Location: UK (flexible/remote) Salary: £70,000 per annum (plus ILW, if working in London) Hours: 35 per week (flexible, Monday–Friday) Contract: Permanent

The British Red Cross is embarking on an ambitious transformation of its data infrastructure, aiming to centralise data assets and enable insight-led approaches to its humanitarian work and community support across the UK.

This senior role in the centralised data team demands leadership to drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, foster responsible AI practices, and champion cross-functional platform integration. Leveraging an Azure-based architecture centred on Databricks, the team prioritises agile delivery, pragmatic migrations, and impact-driven change.

Your focus will be on:

  • Developing robust data architecture
  • Establishing governance, principles, and strategies
  • Ensuring data products align with organisational needs
  • Balancing long-term vision with real-world deliverables

Crucially, this opportunity is rooted in purpose—you will use data to create tangible change for communities in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to senior stakeholders in shaping data platforms and platforms:
    • Review existing systems and recommend improvements, migrations, and best practice
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and teams across functions (emergency response, fundraising, healthcare, finance) to:
    • Integrate new datasets and deliver end-to-end data products
    • Drive adoption of shared standards and workflows
  • Support operational teams to:
    • Align local solutions with the overarching data architecture
    • Champion shared platforms and shared accountability
  • Design the structural foundation for data governance, including:
    • Data organisation, storage, and integration strategies
    • Practical standards for models, integration, and product realisation
    • Compliance frameworks to ensure consistency and reliability

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
