Job Title Enterprise IT Architect About your role: You will act as the technical authority and solution architect for Italian client card and payment systems while also serving as the front‑line technical lead for the client. This role blends strategic system design, architectural governance, and deep hands‑on support, ensuring all technical queries, incidents, and enhancements are handled effectively and with minimal business impact. You will own the end‑to‑end technical landscape, guide design decisions, and lead complex problem resolution, while maintaining close day‑to‑day engagement with client stakeholders. This role is critical to ensuring platform resilience, regulatory compliance, and the continued success of a high‑revenue, mission‑critical client. What you’ll do: Act as the overall technical architect for the VisionPLUS card processing platform and its integrations Serve as the primary senior technical contact for client, handling complex queries, escalations, and design discussions Lead major incident management, including deep‑dive diagnostics, cross‑team coordination, and root‑cause analysis. Provide hands‑on support for critical production issues across online and batch processing Design and govern distributed‑to‑mainframe integrations, including APIs and middleware. Review and approve technical changes, enhancements, and release plans to ensure system stability Mentor Advisor‑ and Engineer‑level team members, providing technical leadership and guidance Work closely with product owners, operations, infrastructure, and vendor teams to ensure seamless delivery Ensure systems meet 24×7 availability, performance, and security requirements Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on resilience, automation, and technical debt reduction Experience you’ll need to have: Extensive experience with VisionPLUS in a cards and payments processing environment Deep understanding of card lifecycle processing, including authorisation, clearing, settlement, billing, and disputes Strong hands‑on expertise with mainframe technologies, including: CICS (online transaction processing). DB2 (schema design, performance analysis, and data troubleshooting) Proven experience designing and supporting API‑based and event‑driven integrations with mainframe systems Strong background in production support, complex incident management, and root‑cause analysis in 24×7 environments Ability to balance architectural ownership with hands‑on execution when required Fluent Italian and English (spoken and written) Willingness to participate in out‑of‑hours (OOH) support for critical incidents Experience that would be great to have: Experience acting as a solution or system architect for large‑scale payment platforms Strong knowledge of VisionPLUS modules and vendor roadmaps Familiarity with CICS tuning, DB2 optimisation, and batch/online workload balancing Knowledge of Swagger / OpenAPI standards and API governance Experience operating within ITIL‑aligned incident, problem, and change management frameworks Track record of supporting strategic, high‑revenue clients with strict SLA commitments Experience driving resilience, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies Thank you for considering employment with Fiserv.
