Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of security across one of the world's most iconic automotive brands. This is an opportunity to influence how secure access is delivered at enterprise scale, helping to protect a complex global environment while enabling innovation, transformation, and modern ways of working.
Working at the forefront of our cybersecurity and network transformation agenda, you will define and evolve JLR’s Zero Trust and network security architecture, ensuring consistent policy enforcement, regulatory compliance, and robust risk management across diverse platforms, regions, and user access models. You’ll collaborate closely with cybersecurity specialists, network engineers, product managers, and application teams to develop secure, scalable, and resilient solutions that support both business and technology objectives.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with technical leadership. You’ll be instrumental in driving the transition from traditional perimeter-based security approaches to modern identity-driven, policy-based access frameworks, helping to create a secure, connected, and future-ready enterprise for JLR.
What to Expect
In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality outcomes and supporting the wider team through a range of responsibilities, including:
- Define and lead JLR’s Zero Trust network security architecture strategy and technology roadmap, driving the evolution of secure access services across the enterprise
- Design and implement modern Zero Trust solutions, ensuring secure, identity-driven access based on user identity, device posture, risk, and business context
- Establish and govern consistent security policies, standards, and architectures across on-premise, cloud, and remote access environments
- Partner with Cyber Security, IAM, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to deliver integrated security solutions aligned to enterprise strategy, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks
- Drive the adoption of network segmentation, least-privilege access, and continuous verification principles, supporting the transition from traditional perimeter-based security models
- Provide architectural governance, technical leadership, and assurance across network and security programmes, including architecture reviews, risk assessments, and threat modelling activities
- Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, well-documented, and aligned to business objectives and future architectural standards

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
