Enterprise Security Architect (Telecoms / Mobile Networks)
£700 per day | Inside IR35 | Hybrid (London or Bristol, 2 days per week)
We're looking for an experienced Enterprise Security Architect to join a major programme delivering secure, resilient telecommunications infrastructure within a highly regulated environment.
This is an opportunity to shape enterprise security architecture across complex mobile network platforms, influencing the security strategy for critical communications technologies.
What you'll be doing
- Define and evolve enterprise security architecture across mobile telecoms environments.
- Design secure target-state architectures covering 4G/5G Core, Radio Access Networks (RAN), OSS/BSS and enterprise platforms.
- Develop secure architectures for hybrid and AWS cloud environments.
- Apply architecture frameworks including TOGAF, SABSA and ArchiMate.
- Produce enterprise architecture artefacts and security standards.
- Lead security architecture across network virtualisation, SDN/NFV, Open RAN, edge computing and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Conduct threat modelling, security design reviews and risk assessments.
- Develop security reference architectures, patterns and best practice.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards including ISO 27001, NIS/NIS2, GDPR, NCSC guidance and GSMA security frameworks.
- Partner with engineering, operations, architecture and governance teams to embed security by design.
- Provide technical assurance across complex programmes and evaluate emerging technologies and threats.

What we're looking for
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Security Architect within telecoms, mobile networking, defence, military communications, critical national infrastructure or similarly complex networking environments.
- Strong experience designing security architecture across Radio Access Networks (RAN), 4G/5G Core or large-scale network communications platforms.
- Excellent understanding of enterprise security architecture principles and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with:
- TOGAF
- SABSA
- ArchiMate
- Enterprise Architecture tooling
- Strong AWS security architecture experience.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust, IAM, encryption, SIEM, SOC integration and network segmentation.
- Experience delivering security architecture within highly regulated environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence senior technical and business leaders.

Desirable
- TOGAF Certified
- SABSA Certified
- AWS Security Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect
- CISSP, CISM or equivalent
- Experience working within telecom operators, defence, emergency services or Critical National Infrastructure.
Essential Requirements
- Active SC Clearance is mandatory.
- SC Clearance must remain valid until at least 2028.
- Hybrid working with 2 days per week onsite in either London or Bristol.
- £700 per day (Inside IR35).
- Immediate start available.
