 Life on the team Are you an experienced Enterprise Architect with a passion for shaping complex technology solutions and driving large-scale transformation programmes? We’re looking for an accomplished Enterprise Solution Architect to join the rapidly growing Consultancy Practice at Computacenter. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a truly global organisation delivering services into more than 70 countries worldwide. You’ll play a key role in shaping and assuring complex, integrated solutions for major defence sector customers, helping organisations modernise and transform through innovative technology strategies. You’ll be joining a dynamic, collaborative, and rapidly expanding Consultancy Practice, working alongside some of the most talented architects, consultants, and technical specialists in the industry. This is a highly visible role where you’ll engage directly with senior customer stakeholders, partners, and internal leadership teams to shape strategic technology outcomes. You’ll gain exposure to leading-edge technologies, complex enterprise environments, and some of the most high-profile transformation programmes within the defence sector.

What you’ll do

Act as the Technical Authority for complex, enterprise-scale and mission-critical transformation programmes within the Defence industry Lead technical strategy and architecture discussions with customers, understanding both business and technical drivers Shape and assure integrated solutions across multiple technology domains including Workplace, Security, Networking, Cloud, Datacentre, and Applications Produce and validate high-level architecture and solution design documentation Support pre-sales engagements, large-scale opportunities, and strategic customer programmes Engage with C-level executives and senior IT leadership teams, aligning solutions to broader business objectives Collaborate with vendors, partners, and internal SMEs to develop innovative and market-leading solutions Lead or contribute to large-scale technology transformation programmes across complex enterprise environments Act as a Design Authority for key customer accounts, ensuring governance, quality, and compliance standards are maintained Support the development of new propositions and services alongside Strategy and Portfolio teams Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and evolving customer requirements

What you’ll need

Significant experience in an Enterprise or Solution Architecture role within large-scale IT environments Proven experience leading technical teams through both pre-sales and delivery phases of complex transformation programmes Strong expertise designing integrated enterprise solutions across:

Networking Security Datacentre & Hybrid Cloud Cloud & Applications Workplace technologies

Experience working within the defence sector, with understanding of security requirements, governance, and stakeholder engagement Strong experience engaging with C-level executives, senior IT leadership, and enterprise customers Demonstrated success leading or contributing to major transformation initiatives from strategy through execution Strong understanding of technical governance, assurance, and architectural best practices Experience managing the full customer engagement lifecycle from early qualification through to successful delivery Commercial awareness and understanding of how solution design impacts operational and contractual service delivery Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across both technical and business audiences
