Enterprising Environment Manager – Politically Restricted Post
This position has been identified as a Politically Restricted post under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (as amended) and Local Government (Politically Restricted Posts) (No.2) Regulations 1990, which impose political restrictions on the holders of certain posts.

· Lead and Inspire:
- Apply entrepreneurial expertise to develop business improvements and commercial opportunities.
· Drive Development:
- Identify and implement income-generating initiatives that support Nottinghamshire County Council’s environmental ambitions.
· Build Partnerships:
- Cultivate cross-regional partnerships to unlock green finance investment in the region, council, and services.
· Manage Projects:
- Oversee key environmental projects from conception to completion.
Requirements
Essential:
· A deep understanding of potential commercial partners and business opportunities. · Proven experience in project management and developing commercial strategies. · A strong love for the natural and historic environment, including green spaces. · Experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership development.

· Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate partners toward unified goals. · Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders. · Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving ability to navigate complex challenges. · Creativity: An innovative mindset to develop unique solutions for environmental projects.
