About 16VC

At 16VC, we're building the next generation of venture capital.

We're an early-stage venture firm and venture studio partnering with ambitious founders building category-defining AI and technology companies. Beyond investing, we work alongside founders to validate ideas, build products, accelerate growth, and turn bold ideas into venture-scale businesses.

As an Entrepreneur in Residence, you'll work at the intersection of investing and company building. You'll identify opportunities, validate ideas, build MVPs, and help launch the next generation of AI startups.

The Role

We're looking for an entrepreneurial builder who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys turning ideas into companies.

As an EIR, you'll work closely with the 16VC team to identify high-potential opportunities, validate markets, launch products, and build companies from the ground up. Depending on the venture, you may become the founding CEO or join the founding team of a portfolio company.

What You'll Do

  • Identify emerging market opportunities across AI, SaaS, fintech, and other technology sectors.
  • Generate, validate, and refine startup ideas through customer research and rapid experimentation.
  • Build MVPs using AI tools, no-code platforms, or by collaborating with engineers and designers.
  • Conduct customer interviews and gather feedback to iterate quickly.
  • Define product strategy, go-to-market plans, and early growth experiments.
  • Work closely with the investment team to evaluate new venture ideas and market opportunities.
  • Recruit early team members, advisors, and strategic partners when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with founders across the 16VC ecosystem and contribute to portfolio growth.
  • Present progress, insights, and recommendations to the leadership team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
