Environment Advisor (12 month FTC)

Group Facilities - Advisor, Environment

As Group Facilities - Advisor, Environment, you will provide essential day-to-day support to the Porsche team on all environmental matters, helping to uphold our ISO 14001:2015 certification and drive progress toward our CO₂ net-zero target for 2030. Your enthusiasm for sustainability and ability to communicate clearly will be central to raising awareness across the business, supporting internal reporting, and embedding meaningful environmental initiatives.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the organisation and work alongside experienced external advisors and suppliers to ensure we stay ahead of evolving legislation and strengthen our environmental performance as a global brand.

Services are provided to:

  • Porsche Cars Great Britain (PCGB)
  • Porsche Retail Group (PRG) in the UK with the ISO 14001:2015 certification based at the Reading site.

**This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Porsche team to take over the running of the Environmental Management System (EMS)
  • Conduct regular site walkarounds, waste checks, spill-kit inspections, and incident reporting, documenting findings and supporting colleagues with follow-up actions
  • Support EMS audits, including ISO 14001 recertification, audit preparation, and corrective-action tracking
  • Provide technical input to waste tenders and oversupervise waste contracts
  • Update the Waste Register and close out actions from site walkarounds
  • Manage quarterly environmental data collection and quality review
  • Coordinate with suppliers and prepare data for Annual Management Review
  • Prepare annual submissions through internal reporting systems
  • Contribute to ESG assessments
  • Submit the required data and issue quarterly sustainability surveys
  • Support environmental readiness and ongoing operational checks for new sites
  • Ensure compliance and consistent standards
  • Work with Procurement and supply-chain teams on sustainability actions
  • Track progress by providing technical input on supplier sustainability
  • Plan and coordinate Environmental Working Group sessions
  • Develop materials and facilitate knowledge sharing
  • Support wider environmental events and initiatives

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • ISO 14001:2015 Practitioner
  • Managed ISO 14001 in a corporate setting, ideally within the automotive industry
  • Technical knowledge of the environmental standard
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or a similar qualification
  • Clear, positive communication
  • Confidence in presenting and engaging others
  • Skilled in prioritising tasks, updating documents, and preparing reports

Desirable Qualifications

  • Understanding of upcoming standard changes in ISO 14001:2026
  • Genuine interest supported by training or certification in related fields
  • Experience in building relationships easily and working across teams
  • Confidence with Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations
