Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with one of the UK's leading heavy engineering and manufacturing businesses, in the search for an experienced HSE Manager to join their flagship Sheffield operation.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a business with a long-standing reputation for engineering excellence, supplying complex castings and components into some of the world's most demanding industries. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that has a dedicated compliance team to allow you to spend less time on admin and more time engaging the workforce.
Key responsibilities include:
- Championing a positive behavioural safety culture through visible leadership and employee engagement.
- Conducting risk assessments, audits and inspections, ensuring robust corrective actions are implemented.
- Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
- Delivering engaging health and safety training and coaching managers across the business.
- Analysing HSE performance, reporting trends and driving continuous improvement projects.
- Working collaboratively with production, engineering and leadership teams to ensure HSE remains at the forefront of operational decision-making.
- Acting as the site's subject matter expert for all Health, Safety and Environmental matters.

You'll ideally have:

- Proven HSE management experience within heavy engineering, manufacturing, foundry, steel, fabrication, forging or similar industrial environments.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a genuine passion for improving safety culture.
- Experience leading investigations, audits, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both shop floor teams and senior stakeholders.
