Senior Health & Safety Leader (HSE Manager) – Social Housing & Refurbishment

  • Collaborate with external bodies such as:
    • The Health and Safety Executive (HSE)
    • Insurers
    • Environment Agency**

Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for driving health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across social housing refurbishment projects, including:

  • Conducting site audits
  • Managing incidents
  • Producing insights and recommendations to improve safety across the business

Key duties include: ✔ Collaboration with operational teams to embed safety at every stage of a project, influencing major decisions and overseeing field applications of standards ✔ Training and advisory – ensuring compliance and safety best practices

Requirements

Essential: ✅ Recognised health and safety qualifications, including:

  • NEBOSH Diploma
  • Environmental Qualification with practical knowledge ✅ Temporary Works Certificate accredited to CITB ✅ Certified knowledge in construction and CDM (Construction Design and Management) Regulations

Proven track record of: ✅ Managing HSE in construction or refurbishment projects ✅ Demonstrable expertise in ISO standards, with the ability to:

  • Implement ISO systems
  • Maintain standards effectively
