The Environment & Linen Team are responsible for the daily deliveries of clean linen to all wards and departments along with the daily servicing of the multi waste utility rooms across the York Hospital site 365 days a year.

These back of house services are important and support the delivery of patient care to our patients by our clinical colleagues.

The Main Duties Of This Role Include

  • The preparation and delivery of clean linen to all wards and departments across the site
  • The removal of various waste streams and soiled linen from multi waste utility areas using electric tugs
  • To be flexible and cover any of the duties delivered by this team
  • To be a genuine team member who will be supportive and provide assistance to colleagues as and when required
  • To demonstrate the organisation's values and behaviour at all times during the course of their work
