Environmental Advisor – (Job Ref: 26N/ENAD)

About the Role
Location: 55 Diamond Road, Crumlin, Co. Antrim, United Kingdom, BT29 4QY
Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours / Shifts:
- 8.40am to 5.20pm, Monday to Friday.
- Option available for 4x9-hour days (Monday to Thursday) + 4-hour day on a Friday.
This role ensures regulatory compliance, enhances environmental performance, and supports operational efficiency across all company sites. The successful candidate will address key challenges in risk management and environmental reporting, including:
- Help maintain the Environmental Management System in accordance with company vision and objectives.
- Identify and control actual or potential environmental risks.
- Monitor compliance with the Environmental Management System and notify the HSE Manager of any non-compliance.
- Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.
- Ensure agreed preventative actions are effectively implemented.
- Facilitate compliance with environmental legislation.
- Promote awareness of Randox’s environmental vision and policies among staff.
- Assist in managing the company’s Carbon Reduction Commitment.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement.
- Assist with internal audits.

Criteria for Application
Essential Requirements
- Degree-level qualification.
- Environmentally related qualification, or willingness to work toward one.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Right to work legally in the United Kingdom without visa sponsorship.
- Valid UK driving licence (essential, given the remote location).
Desirable Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in an environmental-related role.
- Experience with environmental regulatory submissions.
- Knowledge of internal auditing.
- Ability to draft environmental risk assessments.
- Experience with waste streams, including chemical waste.
