Platform Property Care are looking for two enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join us, on a 6-month fixed term contract basis, as an Environmental Caretaker to be responsible for the removal of refuse from the bin stores on our estates, blocks, schemes and individual void properties in Solihull and surrounding areas.

What would you be doing in this mobile role?

As an Environmental Caretaker you will ensure that the properties and surrounding area you deliver a service to remain clean, tidy, safe, secure and in good condition. Working in a team you will share driving responsibilities, in one of our 3.5 tonne caged vans, to and from our sites and recycling centres.

You will need to enjoy working with people and be able to use your knowledge and experience to make a real difference to our communities and our customers, helping to make our communal properties great places to live.

This is a mobile role, covering our sites in Solihull and surrounding areas so you need to be based locally as you'll start and finish your working day at our Group office at Birmingham Business Park. There would also be a need to travel to our different sites throughout the Solihull/Birmingham area as required so a driving licence is essential.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week Monday – Friday with core hours of 7.30- 16:00 and no weekend working.

We Want Somebody Who Has

Ideally you will have experience of working in a customer-focused environment undertaking cleaning and caretaking duties A positive outlook with a flexible, proactive approach and the ability to work as part of a team You will need a keen eye for detail and be committed to achieving high standards Good IT skills as you will be using an iPad to access a portal to log all required repairs and completion of health and safety checks A full driving licence This role also requires a Basic DBS check
