Senior Environmental Advisor (Chesterfield or Remote Midlands/North)

This forward-thinking private rail business, recognised for its collaborative approach and commitment to sustainability, seeks an Environmental Advisor. This remarkable opportunity allows you to make a tangible difference in improving environmental performance across UK rail infrastructure projects.

About the Role

The role involves leading environmental management and compliance across multiple rail infrastructure projects. As an Environmental Advisor, you will:

  • Influence best practices in sustainability, risk mitigation, and environmental performance.
  • Provide expert guidance and shape environmental strategies at a strategic level.
  • Support teams in embedding sustainable principles into project delivery.
  • Play a key role in Net Zero ambitions within a values-driven organisation.

You Will Have

Candidates must possess:

  • Degree in Environmental Management, Science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in environmental management, ideally within construction, infrastructure, or rail.
  • Strong UK environmental legislation knowledge, including compliance standards and risk assessments.
  • Proven ability to lead environmental audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience integrating environmental strategies in large-scale, complex projects.
