Location: The Create Building, The Boulevard, Crawley, RH10 1UZ Client: Crawley Borough Council Pay Rate: £16.23 per hour Hours: 32 hours per week + overtime available Shifts: Monday – Sunday, 07:00 – 21:00 (flexibility required)


About The Role

Looking to step into a leadership role where you can make a real impact?

Kingdom Local Authority Support is recruiting an experienced Environmental Enforcement Team Leader to lead operations in Crawley.

You’ll play a key role in tackling environmental crime, supporting your team, and ensuring consistently high standards across all enforcement activity.

This is a hands-on leadership role, combining frontline enforcement duties with team management in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading from the front by carrying out patrols and issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs)
  • Managing daily deployment and overseeing enforcement activity on site
  • Taking full responsibility for day-to-day team performance and operations
  • Supporting, coaching, and developing Enforcement Officers
  • Acting as the main point of contact for client queries and stakeholder communication
  • Investigating incidents and responding to public concerns
  • Monitoring team performance, compliance, and standards
  • Preparing reports, case files, and supporting legal processes
  • Setting a strong example through professional conduct and performance

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience (essential)
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage performance effectively
  • Professional, calm, and decisive under pressure
  • Organised with strong attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Knowledge of environmental enforcement (desirable)
