Environmental Engineering - AI Data Trainer

Environmental Engineering – AI Data Trainer

About the Role

We partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more accurate AI models — and we need environmental engineers to help get there. Your deep technical knowledge of water treatment, air quality, and waste management will directly shape how the next generation of AI reasons through complex environmental problems.

This is a rare opportunity to apply your graduate-level expertise in a high-impact, flexible freelance role — no office, no commute, just meaningful work on your own schedule.

Organization & Commitment

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You’ll Do

  • Design complex technical problems — Develop advanced environmental engineering scenarios covering:
    • Contaminant transport
    • Mass balance in treatment systems
    • Hydrology
    • Life Cycle Assessments (LCA)
    • And more
  • Author gold-standard solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical responses including:
    • Chemical dosage calculations
    • Hydraulic flow models
    • Pollutant dispersion simulations (as benchmark answers)
  • Audit AI-generated outputs — Evaluate AI-produced environmental solutions like:
    • Remediation plans
    • Environmental impact statements
    • Mathematical reasoning For technical accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance (EPA, ISO 14001, and more)
  • Sharpen AI reasoning — Identify logical errors in operational outputs such as:
    • Incorrect stoichiometry in biological treatment processes
    • Failure to account for secondary environmental impacts Provide structured feedback to improve model performance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
