Environmental Engineering — AI Data Trainer

About The Role

AI is rapidly advancing into highly technical domains — and we need real experts to make sure it gets things right. We're looking for environmental engineers to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models on topics like water treatment, air quality management, and hazardous waste remediation.

Your domain knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex environmental problems — from contaminant transport to regulatory compliance. This is a rare opportunity to influence AI development from the inside, without leaving your field.

Type

  • Hourly Contract

Location

  • Remote

Commitment

  • 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design Complex Problems — Craft advanced environmental engineering scenarios covering contaminant transport, mass balance in treatment plants, hydrology, Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), and more
  • Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions — including chemical dosage calculations, hydraulic flow models, and pollutant dispersion simulations — that serve as reference-quality benchmarks
  • Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated remediation plans, environmental impact statements, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy, regulatory adherence (EPA, ISO 14001), and safety
  • Improve AI Reasoning — Identify logical flaws in AI responses — such as incorrect stoichiometry in biological treatment processes or failure to account for secondary environmental impacts — and provide structured feedback to correct model behavior

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
