Do you want to gain hands-on experience and make a real difference in your community? Join us at Dorset Council for an exciting work experience placement as an Environmental Health Officer (EHO)!
About The Role
As an EHO, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at how we keep our community safe and healthy. You'll work on various tasks, from helping with inspections to learning about how we ensure that premises serve safe food. This is your chance to explore a career in environmental health and see how your efforts can positively impact the world around you.

Key Responsibilities
Investigations & Inspections: Assist with service requests, inspections, and monitoring activities across different environmental areas Customer Focus: Learn how to provide advice and assistance to the public and other stakeholders Enforcement Actions: Observe how we carry out enforcement actions to ensure public safety. Collaboration: Work alongside our team and other organizations to achieve our goals
What We're Looking For
Interest in Environmental Health: A passion for protecting the environment and public health and in particular food safety. Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to learn new skills and take on new challenges. Team Player: Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively Positive Attitude: A friendly, professional, and adaptable approach to work
