JOB DESCRIPTION

This role contributes to the development of Oracle's globally harmonized EHS management system and owns its deployment across EMEA, along with regulatory compliance across EMEA jurisdictions and end-to-end EHS oversight of data center construction, commissioning, and live operations.

This is a regional line leadership role with direct accountability for EHS performance across the full EMEA footprint. The role leads the in-region EHS team, directs EHS governance of general contractors and delivery partners on active data center builds, and oversees EHS execution within Oracle's integrated facilities management model for corporate sites. The role partners closely with OCI Data Center Operations, Data Center Facilities Development, Real Estate & Facilities Management, and regional business leadership.

Reports to the Vice President, Global EHS. The role leads the EMEA EHS team, including country and cluster resources and dedicated data center and construction EHS capability, and collaborates with cross-functional teams including Design & Construction/Project Delivery, Facilities Operations, HR, Legal, Security, Procurement, and Oracle's integrated facilities management partner.

This role can be based at Oracle offices in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, or Ireland. Expected travel 30–50%, primarily regional with occasional international.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Regional leadership and team development

  • Lead and develop the EMEA EHS organization, own regional resource planning, performance management, succession, and an effective operating rhythm across countries and site types.
  • Serve as the senior EHS voice in the region: advise regional business, real estate, and data center leadership on EHS risk, controls, and performance; build a proactive culture of learning and prevention.
  • Own regional escalation consistent with Oracle standards, exercising and supporting stop-work authority without hesitation where conditions warrant.

EHS management system deployment and compliance

  • Deploy and localize Oracle's global EHS management system (aligned to ISO 45001 / ISO 14001) across EMEA as part of one common global framework, integrating national regulatory requirements and regional frameworks.
  • Own regional regulatory compliance and inspection readiness across EMEA jurisdictions, including engagement with regulators, enforcement authorities, and works councils as required.
  • Deliver regional inputs to the executive reporting cycle, including leading and lagging indicators, program maturity status, and verified corrective action closure.

Data center construction, commissioning, and operations EHS

  • Direct EHS oversight of the EMEA data center construction program, including contractor EHS governance, site-specific safety plan review, field audit execution, and verification of critical risk controls on active builds.
  • Own EHS integration across commissioning and energization, including simultaneous-operations coordination, permit-to-work interfaces, and safe transition from construction to live operations.
  • Oversee EHS performance across operational data centers in-region, including high hazard work governance: electrical safety, energy isolation, work at height, lifting operations, confined space, and hot work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
