Role Title: Environmental Manager
Location: London, UK
Work Mode: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Role Overview
Infosys is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to oversee environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and Environmental Management Systems (EMS). The successful candidate will ensure compliance with environmental legislation, manage environmental risks, and drive continuous improvement across environmental performance. This role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and project teams to ensure environmental standards and sustainability objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits, audits, and Pollution Control Board regulations.
- Monitor and manage environmental performance, including air quality, water, waste, noise, and resource consumption.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
- Lead sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, recycling, and energy efficiency programmes.
- Conduct environmental risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
- Lead pollution prevention and emergency preparedness programmes.
- Coordinate environmental inspections, audits, and compliance reporting.
- Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain environmental documentation, records, and compliance reports.
- Deliver environmental awareness and compliance training to project teams.
- Drive continuous environmental improvement and support ISO 14001 compliance.

- Proven experience as an Environmental Manager or in a similar environmental compliance role.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and regulatory compliance.
- Experience implementing and managing Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
- Good understanding of ISO 14001 standards.
- Experience in sustainability initiatives and environmental improvement programmes.
- Knowledge of waste management, pollution prevention, air and water quality management.
- Experience conducting environmental audits and risk assessments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to prepare environmental reports and maintain compliance documentation.
