We're partnering with one of the UK's leading principal contractors to appoint an Environmental Manager who will play a pivotal role in embedding environmental best practice across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and construction projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business where environmental performance is genuinely valued. You'll work alongside operational teams from project inception through to delivery, ensuring compliance is achieved while identifying opportunities to continually improve environmental performance and leave a lasting legacy.

Whether your experience has been gained in construction, infrastructure, utilities, energy, manufacturing, waste, rail, environmental consultancy, or another regulated sector, we'd love to hear from you if you have a strong environmental compliance background and enjoy working collaboratively to influence positive outcomes.

The Impact You'll Make

  • Become the trusted environmental expert across a range of high-profile projects, ensuring environmental risks are proactively managed and regulatory compliance is achieved from pre-construction through to project completion.
  • Influence project teams, clients, and supply chain partners to embed environmental best practice, creating a culture where environmental performance is considered in every decision.
  • Drive continual improvement by identifying innovative solutions that enhance environmental performance, reduce risk, and deliver tangible operational and commercial benefits.
  • Lead environmental assurance activities, audits, and incident investigations, using your expertise to strengthen compliance, share lessons learned, and improve future project delivery.
  • Champion environmental awareness across the business by coaching, mentoring, and developing operational teams, helping build industry-leading environmental capability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
