Environmental Services Technician / Full Time / Nights
The Environmental Services Tech provides personal care and professional excellence by cleaning, buffing, polishing, stripping, refinishing and maintaining assigned areas of the hospital in a sanitary, orderly attractive condition.
MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs thorough daily cleaning and periodic cleanings on schedule.
- Properly changes cubicle curtains as needed.
- Properly cleans blinds.
- Properly cleans stairwells, elevators and baseboards.
- Properly cleans restrooms and replenishes essentials.
- Properly cleans working equipment.
- Properly collects and disposes trash and linens. Safely moves linen carts to linen room.
- Thoroughly cleans furniture. Dusts vents, cabinets, horizontal surfaces and counters.
- Safely makes detergents and germicidal solutions from chemicals.
- Properly moves furniture and equipment for cleaning and rearranging. Properly washes walls and windows.
- Properly completes discharge unit cleaning.
- Thoroughly vacuums and extracts furniture and carpets as needed.
- Properly dust mops and wet mops floors with cleaning solutions. Safely operates electric floor machines and vacuums. Properly scrubs, strips and refinishes floors with machine.
- Submits Maintenance work orders as needed.
- Makes positive first impressions by smiling, saying hello, introducing self by name, and explaining their role and reason for visit.
