We’re partnered with a well-established organisation within the construction and infrastructure sector, where environmental performance and compliance are central to how projects are delivered. As an Environmental & Sustainability Advisor, you’ll take a key role in owning and managing the Environmental Management System (EMS) and supporting continual environmental improvement across the business.

You’ll be part of a dedicated Environment & Sustainability team, working closely with colleagues, clients and stakeholders to ensure effective systems, embedded compliance and high environmental standards across projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Owning the EMS: Managing, maintaining and improving the Environmental Management System in line with ISO 14001 and legislation.
  • Audits & Compliance: Planning and supporting environmental audits and ensuring legal and permit requirements are met.
  • Environmental Performance: Monitoring, analysing and reporting environmental data for internal and client use.
  • Business Collaboration: Working with project teams, clients and external stakeholders to implement environmental standards.
  • Environmental Culture: Delivering training and awareness to promote best practice and behavioural change.
  • Continuous Improvement: Supporting sustainability initiatives and identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.

  • EMS Experience: Experience in an environmental role with hands-on EMS responsibility.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of environmental legislation, ISO 14001, auditing and compliance.
  • Data & Reporting: Comfortable working with environmental data and reports.
  • Communication Skills: Able to engage effectively with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive Approach: Motivated, organised and focused on practical environmental outcomes.
  • Flexibility: Willing to travel across the UK and hold a full UK driving licence.
