Environmental, Sustainability and Compliance Advisor
Castle Donington, Derbyshire

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Environmental and Compliance Advisor to join the HS&E Department at our Head Office in Castle Donington, Derbyshire.

The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a key role in developing and delivering Medstrom's environmental and sustainability strategy.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Support the ongoing management and maintenance of ISO14001 certification, ensuring documentation, risk assessments and records are maintained to support successful internal and external audits
- Ensuring compliance with UK environmental legislation
- Collate data and records information for environmental reporting (Waste packaging, CO2 emissions)
- Lead projects for Environmental impact reduction
- Responsible for the ESOS action plan
- Lead and support sustainability initiatives across the business, driving measurable environmental improvements
- Promote environmental awareness and sustainability best practices across all business functions
- Provide administrative and system support for Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability management processes
- Support the review, creation and issuing of HS&E Documentation such as SOPs, training materials, and risk assessments
- Prepare and distribute a variety of communications, including PowerPoints, minutes, news posts and Toolbox Talks

Hours of Work: 37.5 per week, Monday - Friday (approx. 8am - 4pm) based at Castle Donington, with some flexibility if required.
About You:
- Environmental qualification (degree or equivalent) or at least three years' experience in a similar environmental or sustainability role
- Experience of ISO14001 management systems
- Experience of environmental data analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of carbon reporting and sustainability frameworks
- Internal auditing experience
- Strong Microsoft Office skills; Visio experience would be advantageous
- Experience of working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to present information confidently and influence at all levels
- Ability to capture an audience and encourage engagement and interaction with HS&E topics
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
- Live within a commutable distance of Head Office in Castle Donington
