We are recruiting for a Site Manager to join us here at Octavius.

We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.

You'll be working on…

As Site Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering a programme of substation upgrade works across the Isle of Wight as part of our Southern Renewals Framework.

Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, you'll take responsibility for the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of site activities, ensuring projects are completed on programme, within budget, and to the standards our customers expect. You'll lead site teams and specialist subcontractors, coordinate day-to-day operations, and create an environment where safety, quality, and collaboration come first.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team delivering essential infrastructure improvements that will help maintain and enhance the resilience of the region's transport network.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Managing day-to-day site operations and coordinating subcontractors and direct labour.
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements.
  • Leading site teams and fostering a positive culture aligned to our values of Integrity, Caring, Openness, Progressive thinking, and Quality.
  • Monitoring progress, identifying risks, and implementing solutions to maintain successful project delivery.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, environmental compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Building positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners.
  • Supporting commercial processes including change management, early warnings, and compensation events.
  • Maintaining accurate site records, permits, reports, and digital project documentation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
