Climate17 is partnering with a leading renewable energy EPC and O&M provider delivering large-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage projects across the UK.

Backed by a financially strong international group, this organisation is rapidly expanding its UK project portfolio and is now seeking an experienced EPC Contracts Manager to play a key role in the commercial and contractual delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects.

The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to take a leading role in the management of EPC contracts and associated subcontractor agreements across utility-scale renewable energy projects.

Working closely with commercial, procurement, engineering, project management, and legal teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered commercially robustly, contractually compliant, and aligned with programme and budget requirements. The role offers strong exposure across the full EPC lifecycle within a growing solar and battery storage environment.

Key Responsibilities Lead the development and management of EPC contracts and associated supply/service subcontracts Support project and sales teams with contractual guidance and risk management expertise Implement robust contracting strategies to support successful project delivery Prepare, review, negotiate, and manage EPC contract documentation Manage amendments, variations, claims, and contractual disputes Support project teams with escalation management and contractual communications Develop and improve contract management standards, processes, and KPIs Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, commercial, legal, and project delivery teams

Requirements Degree-qualified in Engineering, Commercial, Legal, or related discipline Extensive experience in Contract and Claims Management within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects • Strong understanding of EPC contracting environments Experience managing contractual escalations, disputes, and claims resolution Comfortable working with bespoke client contracts Experience negotiating agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors Knowledge of English contract law and EPC contract structures Familiarity with NEC and/or FIDIC contracts highly desirable Renewable energy, solar PV, or battery storage experience advantageous Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
