Epidemiologist
📢 New Opportunity | Senior Epidemiologist (PhD)
📍 Fully Remote (UK) | Permanent Position
KEMIO Consulting is supporting an innovative Healthcare Analytics and Real-World Evidence organisation as they continue to expand their scientific team.
They’re looking for a PhD-qualified Epidemiologist with strong RWE experience to lead and shape observational research projects that directly support pharmaceutical and biotech decision-making across oncology and rare disease programmes.
This role would suit someone who enjoys combining scientific rigour with strategic thinking — working closely with statisticians, data scientists, and external partners to turn complex healthcare data into evidence that has real clinical impact.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the design of non-interventional and observational studies using real-world data
- Developing study protocols, methodological approaches, and evidence generation strategies
- Advising on epidemiological methods including causal inference and survival analysis
- Partnering with biostatistics teams to refine analyses and interpret findings
- Acting as a scientific advisor within client discussions and project delivery
- Supporting publications, abstracts, and broader scientific dissemination activities
- Contributing scientific expertise to proposals and new business initiatives

What they’re looking for:
- PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or a related field
- Strong background in RWE / pharmacoepidemiology / HEOR
- 4+ years experience designing and delivering observational research studies
- Experience writing statistical analysis plans and study protocols
- Understanding of advanced epidemiological methodologies
- Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to varied audiences
- Previous experience working with pharma, biotech, or healthcare research stakeholders
