Project Manager – EPM - Anaplan

Contract – London
Initial 6-month contract

SystemsAccountants is supporting a client through a major planning transformation programme and is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of an Anaplan implementation.

This is a business-critical role requiring a strong project leader who can engage senior stakeholders, build confidence across the organisation, and drive delivery through a mixed team comprising internal resources and a System Integrator (SI).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a planning transformation project.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for senior business stakeholders and project sponsors.
  • Build strong relationships across Finance, Technology and external delivery partners.
  • Take the customer on the transformation journey, ensuring engagement, alignment and adoption throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage and coordinate a blended project team consisting of client-side resources and System Integrator consultants.
  • Drive project governance, planning, risk management, issue resolution and reporting.
  • Ensure delivery milestones, budget and quality objectives are achieved.
  • Facilitate effective communication between technical and business teams.
  • Support change management and business readiness activities.

Required Experience

  • Proven track record delivering complex Financial Planning software implementation projects is essential.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive and C-suite level.
  • Experience managing multi-vendor environments, including System Integrators and third-party partners.
  • Demonstrated success leading business transformation or Finance transformation programmes.
  • Excellent project governance, planning and delivery management capabilities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience delivering Anaplan projects.
  • Experience with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), EPM, CPM or planning technology platforms.
  • Understanding of Finance processes including planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
  • Relevant project delivery certifications (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, MSP).
